Postville Community Support
Dozens of Postville citizens wrote letters to the Judge on behalf of Sholom. Many attested to his generosity to Jews and non-Jews alike. Many told the Judge how Sholom had almost single-handedly built a beautiful and united community.
Following his conviction, hundreds put this sign on their lawn to show their continued support for him:

Legal Community Support
- In the last year, numerous articles, OP-EDs and Law Reviews have been written regarding the many examples of questionable behavior on the part of the prosecutors as well as the judge.
- Prior to sentencing, Judge Reade received an unprecedented letter from six former U.S. Attorneys General and many other former DOJ officials.
- She further received letters from hundreds of lawyers, judges and legal professors.
- Following the filing of the appeal, three respected organizations, the Iowa American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) and Washington Legal Foundation (WLF) filed amicus briefs supporting Rubashkin′s appeal for a new trial.

Congressional Response
In the last few months, 47 Members of U.S. House of Representatives have sent letters to Attorney General Eric Holder regarding the allegations of prosecutorial misconduct in relation to numerous undisclosed ex-parte meetings between the Judge and prosecutors.
